About

A career built on design.
A practice of trying to notice.

I've spent thirty years as a graphic designer, trained to make things look intentional. Photography asks something different of me — not to make, but to notice what's already there and hold still long enough to see it.

Inspirational quote in white text on a black background, reading 'I imagine standing before God one day, and instead of asking why I didn’t accomplish more, He smiles and asks: Did you notice the sunsets I painted for you...'.

My Why

I've spent thirty years as a graphic designer, running my studio, Vector & Vista Co., out of the Nashville area. Photography is where I go when there's no client, no brief, no brand guidelines to follow — just whatever catches my eye: a landscape, a stretch of coastline, something wild moving through the frame before I could plan the shot. It's the one part of my creative life that answers to no one but me.

I'm open to exhibitions and commission work, and prints are available by inquiry.
